The River and Sea Sense Christmas fundraiser will be held on the 30th Novemeber 2012 7:30pm at Plas Maenan Country House Hotel.

There will be a Curry supper, Bollywood dance performance and an interactive dance session by Bollywood Burnout company!

The event is a physical challenge that has been designed to accommodate people of all physical disciplines.   The event will include canoeing around the Orme once, cycling around it four times and then running around it twice.  The total distance will be approximately 70km.  To ensure we get as many people as possible to join in the fundraising activities

1. Canoeist’s will leave North Shore @ approximately 1000 and head around the Orme
2. The walkers will follow the canoeist’s around the Orme
3. There will be a transition station located Westshore

The aim of this event is to raise in excess of £ 3000 to ….

• Deliver FREE life saving training to children
• Delivery river and sea safety advice to schools throughout the UK – target for 2013 is 10,000 children

Llandudno Pier to Colwyn Bay Pier

This event is to raise funds for an online support network for parents who have lost a child and young people who have lost a friend. A tribute to your loved ones and to raise funds to create this unique service. We will have online interactive support – advice and guidance – recommended reading – forum – tribute pages – blogs – plus setting up meetings initially in North Wales and venturing further afield. This will be a totally unique support network that I hope will become a special place to go when times are tough.

Siince I lost my own son to drowning I have been on a huge journey and am still – however I feel that by helping others to cope and telling my own story – will help them find a place within their hearts and minds where they feel they are free frm some of the pain of loss.

I am asking for a £5 registration fee and sponsorship minimum of £50 – but the more we raise the sooner we can all help eachother.

Since my son drowned at Capel Curig – I have spoken to almost 50,000 schoolchildren over the past four and a half years about Water Safety.
River And Sea Sense is now entering its official 2nd year and we are growing from strength to strength. Waterwise – Lifesaving Clubs are being set up in North Wales and as are SOS events in schools and Leisure Centres. To be able to continue this valuable work FUNdraising FUN events like …these need your support.

It is £30 to register and payment can be paid by PAYPAL on the website or call Debbie direct and arrange to send a cheque.

It is hoped that individuals could raise a minimum of £95.00 for this special cause – but the sky is really the limit.

An evening of entertainment extroadinaire !!!!  Mickey Thomas and Joey Jones – football legends will be bringing their brand of humour to the Royal Hotel Llandudno – complete with “female dancers” and full casino.  More information to follow.
