Saturday, June 30, 2007Hello Everyone – This is the news you have all been waiting for !!!! Chris Turnbull’s Barmy Army – is official.!!! I would like to hold a meeting this next week one evening in Colwyn Bay – Venue to be confirmed -this will be for any of you who are interested in joining – and to gather further information of what YOU want from the Club. It will be FREE to join – you will be able to do ALL activities that are detailed on the site – and lifesaving courses will be encouraged. However any OFFICIAL activities that need visual presence will require you to have a Members Pack – this is NOT a profit pack in any way shape or form. For £5 the membership pack – gives you an official ‘T’ Shirt – RNLI pack and water safety information. Plus future vouchers off sports goods and services -details of memberships to other clubs and MUCH more. If you require a Polo Shirt the pack is £7.50.
CTBA is about saving lives in rivers and at sea. Although during the last 10 months of discovery I now realise that there will be many other ways we could save lives ie associations with other Childsafe agencies to help youth of today tackle important issues ie drugs etc. I cannot possibly do this alone – but with the help of other groups we can all work together in partnership to provide you guys with SAFE alternative places to go and have fun – organised activities – workshops etc. I did have a dream this could be possible 10 months ago. NOW IT’S FOR REAL. As you all know my project is Water Safety and that is what I will encourage – but there are so many ways we can all help eachother and make a difference in CJ’s name.
For the project I will need a STRONG leader group of CJ’s close friends and anyone who can take this seriously. I will need people tohelp me organise these events and more importantly people to recruit their friends – all I need is dedication and a willingness to make this work and to have FUN.
From the conversations I have had with some of you – all I can say is your reactions have been brilliant. I can’t do this without you !! Lets have a BALL !!
